Thank you. I just did a rough drawing right on the watercolor paper. Then after painting some yellow, I drew in more shapes with the tubes of paint-- no brush at this point. A wet brush was then used to push the color around and blend. Finally some calligraphy.
Angela--Thanks—I try to make the shapes relate through flowing lines—which show up under close inspection. I think the eye should be given direction...doesn't always work out.
Joyfulartist-- Thank you so much. I start with some idea in mind, then somehow the painting takes over and I just watch.

I love your interpretation! I wish I was more "artsy" instead of just copying the photo! Something to work on. Thanks for the inspiration!
Nancy-- Thanks. I'm trying to be more fluid, letting colors blend across the painting—not being so concerned with the boundry.
Hello Bill - I do so like the repetition of the round clouds and round bushes/trees. There is a delightful whimsy to your painting.
Nothing wishy-washy about your watercolor painting! I love your colorful rendition of this subject, it really stands out.

I can tell you had fun. Your watercolor is really quite fabulous. Marvelous colors and I like all the repeating rounds shapes of the trees and clouds.
Thanks, I almost missed this one.
